When you subscribe to The Validate, we collect your email address and optionally your name. We also collect anonymized page view counts via GoatCounter, a privacy-respecting analytics tool that does not use cookies or track individuals.
Your email is used solely to deliver The Validate newsletter to your inbox — typically once daily. We never sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties. Page view analytics help us understand which topics resonate, so we can write better content.
Newsletters are sent via Amazon SES and managed through Listmonk, an open-source mailing list platform. Both run on infrastructure we control. No third-party email marketing service has access to your data.
This site does not use tracking cookies. GoatCounter is cookie-free and does not fingerprint visitors. If you subscribe, a session cookie may be set by Listmonk's subscription form for security (CSRF protection) — it is deleted when you close your browser.
Every newsletter email includes a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you are immediately removed. You can also email us at newsletter@thevalidate.com to request manual removal.
We retain your email address as long as you remain subscribed. Unsubscribed addresses are permanently deleted within 30 days. Page view analytics are retained indefinitely in aggregate (non-identifiable) form.
For privacy questions or data requests, email newsletter@thevalidate.com. The Validate is curated by Sugumaran Balasubramaniyan and operated from Oracle Cloud infrastructure.
